How much does it cost to work with you?

Cost is a function of hours for us and hours are defined by the scope and scale of the engagement. You can engage us on a project basis or you may need our bundled, retainer services. Either way, we can assist you in determining the best course of action and associated budgets.

Based on the area or expertise, our hourly rates vary but for a broad number- our blended rate is $80/hr. We are problem-solvers and thus we try hard to work with various types of compensation terms. For example, your situation may be served best on a 50/50 model whereby we integrate with your team and work on a schedule to make your business more profitable.

During this period, we will request 50% of our cost from earned profits and the remaining 50% can be be in the form of a buyout. Or you may elect to keep us on as partners. We can develop a customized solution that works favorably for both parties.

Give us the problem, issues, concerns, hurdles and we'll take it from there.

What does the cost include?

Our time, our knowledge, and our experience. Based on the need, we will provide you with hard costs such as website development, menu design, WiFi, tablecloths, new hire, etc.

So and so charges less than you. Can you match them?

We are industry veterans that bring a lot of cost saving in terms of doing it right the first time. This does not mean that we are overpriced or expensive, but we do want to be compensated fairly for our time and effort. Can we match the other guys - sure, maybe. We are always open for discussion and ask the same of you.

How long will the project take to complete?

Every engagement will be preceded with a schedule of tasks and timeline. We work towards meeting every deadline, every time. However, there are things that will always remain out of our control. For example, we really wanted the Atlanta Braves to win the last World Series - alas, it was not the case. We blame the pricing and logistics of procuring in-field hot dogs.

Can you start right away?

Hopefully the answer is "yes" - but we have to check our current commitments and run a chemistry check (sorry we actually liked science back in school). Contact us and we can answer both questions.

What does the process involve?
    Depending on the project:

  1. We take you out to dinner (and we talk about the pain points)
  2. Timeline and schedules
  3. A full assessment, of the concept (product, services, managers, staff, technologies, vendors, support, etc.), figuring out guest needs, studying the numbers (it's all about the numbers), location study (sometimes it just doesn't make sense and the restaurant will never be profitable)
  4. A report on our findings
  5. A strategic plan
  6. A tactical plan
  7. Budgets
  8. Benchmarks (both parties would agree on what constitutes success)
  9. You take us out to dinner

I've never worked with a restaurant consultant before. Can you tell me what to expect?

This bit may sound cliche, but it is who we are, sorry: We are passionate restaurant experts. We treat every client's restaurant as our own. We just love making people feel like our guests at our house. We love making them happy and putting smiles on their faces. Because we know that those are the ones who will come back.

Since restaurants are known for low profit margins, we know where to cut costs and where to invest and where to increase staff productivity and how to engage and develop positive guest experiences. In our industry the key is to turn pennies into dollars.

What exactly do I receive during the course of the project?
You can expect a dogged pursuit of making your restaurant a more profitable, fulfilling and enjoyable experience.

You're in a different country from me. Will this affect things?

Have Internet connection, will travel. With today's technology nothing needs to stand in the way of our relationship building process. If the project and people, value each other - we will help wherever and whenever.

Can we talk on the telephone?

Yes, because we prefer talking to people instead of e-mail, after all we are all about the people. However, we prefer talking face to face before any other way.

Can you recommend any other restaurant consultant?
Yes we can. It is important to shop and be patient and smart with the decision you are making. We will be clear about our services and deliverables and leave the decision-making to you. If there isn't a fit at this time, we will guide you in the right direction. Even if helping means referring you to our competitor.
